OK, so I know the owners! image

But, nonetheless, a very cool coin that you rarely see offered:

Ok, I have to admit that this is one of those coins that I've wanted. Not at the current price, but I would consider a ChPF specimen instead...

Simply a fabulous coin. And, when you consider a mintage of 35 coins, give or take, what a fabulous and special gem coin to own!!

  • Wowee! The set-stopper! What a dream to own one of these. I thought the mention that this coin was not a restrike was interesting. Are there lots of those around? Does PCGS slab them? I wonder what their numismatic value is.

I can honestly say,if I ever hit the lottery that would be a coin I'd get.I'm not even into nickels. That is an eye catcher, without a doubt.

  • HansMoleman: a 1866 in pr 63 might be 2 grand.

Actually I'm a type collector. A 1866 w/ rays will be just fine for me image I'll leave this '67 for the date and mm gang...

Leap all over me if you want, but I don't find it attractive or desirable. Given its rarity it deserves a good price. For me I would spend my money elsewhere. It just doesn't trip my trigger.
