David,
I'm fairly new to collecting coins. All of my coins are in PCGS slabs. Will my coins
tone in the plastic slabs or will they stay blast white. There are many different rumors
of what the slabs consist of. Can you let us know without giving to much to the other guy.
or is there a method of keeping our investments tone free.

Based on 17 years of grading coins, it's been our experience that only a small percentage of coins will tone in the holders over time. There are various reasons why a coin could tone in the holder. Perhaps it's the air the coin was stored in for a lengthy period before it was graded. Perhaps someone breathed on the coin or fingered it before they sent it in. Perhaps it's stored inappropriately. The best thing to do is store your coins in a safe, dry place and you should be A-OK for almost all of your coins.
And if there's a big problem, there's always the PCGS grading guarantee...David
