How does this work?

This Ebay person made all his feedback private link. I know he has all positive, but I thought the feed back was so you could get a feel for who you were dealling with.

Thanks,

That is unusual. I wonder what type of things they sell?

I have been on eBay since 1996 and have never found a reasonable answer as to why people make their feedback private...unless they are less than honest. Mine's not private.

    My feedback

For those observant, you might pick out that I said 1996 and the rating says 2000...that's because of a merge of two names, an old one into a new one in May, 2000. I first registered the old name on eBay in 1996...July, I think.

He might not want anyone to know what he has purchased. Of course, one can find out by doing a bidder's search on completed items, but that's more hoops to jump.

In that case I would ask that the seller please not leave any feedback at all...but if anyone really wants to get nosy they can just do a search by bidder.
