Remember Adrian's MS67 Liberty Nickel...

Not as dramatic... but it seems like there is some wear on the obverse of the coin... maybe my eyes are going... but I don't think so...
65, eh? It's ugly, too!

  • Impossible to say if it has wear or not. It has a very poor strike which is causing great loss of detail and it also shows signs of a worn die. The only way to tell if it has wear would be see it in person and rotate the coin uder the light. The odd gray cast to the areas of missing detail is, I believe, an artifact of the scanning.
  • Luckily that date is as common as dirt. I wouldn't have even bothered looking at it.

It's not a particularly good strike but it appears MS. To look for wear, use the Buffalo's butt/hip area. Always the first place to show wear.

The date is common and there are THOUSANDS in PCGS or NGC holders so why bother with this one?

    Conder-

If it is a weak strike, then it should be limited before a 65... besides... this is probably the strongest struck of all buffs!
