  • hmmm...It still looks pretty cloudy, what did you dip it in? Since it was an AH, I can't help but wonder if it would not have been better to leave it as it was? Don't get me wrong - I have dipped a few things, including a beauty of a 1924-S Peace dollar, so I am not against dipping, but to do it to a proof AH would have to have some strong justification to do so.
  • Hoosier,

The coin does not have any haze now. I think what you are seeing is a result of my poor scanning. The pic could have been darker.

I need to buy a digicam....

    Dan,

That's a nice piece, certainly a cameo even with PCGS. If it does, indeed, have no haze and if it has no hairlines, you made an excellent score in that auction.

  • Thanks Russ. It's the prettiest '64 Kennedy I have seen. Haven't seen a DCAM in person. I looked it over with a 15x and no hairlines.

I also got this beauty in a proof set the same day. It was a good day for mailimage

    Dan,

BTW, remember that fingerprinted 70 JFK 68DCAM I got from you a while back? Still in a 68DCAM holder, but the problems magically disappeared.image
