I didn't post in your original thread but I will share the image of the coin that took me the most searching time and effort to obtain. The attachment is for a 1796 quarter, F12. These can be located in AU/MS condition on occasion and are also found once in a while in F2-G4. However, many of the AU/MS coins were previously cleaned and nearly all of the F2-G4 pieces have severe problems such as harsh cleaning, holes, pitting, graffiti or being bent. It took between four and five years of looking for a mid-range 1796 quarter that was perfect before I found this one and then I jumped on it immediately when I did. You just can't find these with this eye appeal and I think it would be the last coin from my collection that I would sell.

  • Very nice quarter, TomB.
And I think you also had a gorgeous and original 1795 Bust doller in PCGS EF40 holder whitch matches this quarter very well.

Tom, that is what I refer to as a "gem circulated coin" - outstanding and, no doubt, worth the wait!

Did not post to the other thread either. Both coins I would like to have right now are way out of reach money wise right now. One is the 16D on the Heritage Site for a mere $122,500 and the other is the PCGS 31D on the Pinnacle Site which is also out of reach right now.

Here is the coin that took almost a year to find and was finally bought from another Merc collector that participates in the Registry also. Have had it for about a month.
