    Thanks for the good laugh,unless these stamp are some kind of printing error, they're as commen as water.

    This guy has several other "rare" stamps for bids on ebay as well I'm going to watch this one real close just to see if he reels anybody in.I'd sure be tempted to e mail any bidders to let them know what these commen stamps are really worth.

    Rick Snow had so many of these he licked 8 of them onto a package I received with back issues of Longacre's Ledger. Wonder if he realized he blew $3200 on postage alone.

    Forum member Michael was kind enough to send me some fresh ones, and Goose3 (John) blew me away by sending me a nicely framed first day postcard issue. It includes the canceled 1877 stamp from the Kansas City PO dated 1978, and a beautiful sketch of an Indian on horseback. It's hanging above my computer right now. I'll take a picture of it later -- that was priceless.

    Paul, there's another IHC 1875 depicted on another U.S.postage stamp, it's the 'Banking Commerce' 10 cent issued I believe around 1975-76.Three other coins are also featured such as a Morgan dollar,seated dime and a twenty dollar gold piece.

    Paul -- thanks, I get the feeling you know your stamps. 1875 is an odd IH to commemorate but I guess it was due to the centennial factor, which was big in 1976. Will keep my eye out for a sheet of those.

    I'm surprised he doesn't carefully cut it out and stick it onto a PCGS slab - he could then get real money for it on ebay!!image
