Does PCGS re-use invoice numbers for submissions?

LanLordLanLord Posts: 11,718 ✭✭✭✭✭
I sent in 4 coins to be submitted on Friday morning. I went to their website to see if it was listed this weekend (yes, I have no patience). The invoice number on my entry is listed on their online lookup with a whole bunch of coins that aren't mine. Anyone ever seen anything like this?

What's up with that?

They don't reuse them, but this has happened before. I believe a batch of invoices was made with already used invoice numbers. Several members have reported this happening to them.
  • The last batch of invoices I got are all duplicates. I have submitted 4 or 5 and had the same problem. PCGS handles it by having you enter your zip code. If you are bringing up someone elses invoices then yours isn't in their system yet.

Try it out with invoice #3016119 and zip 84152.

A bunch of batches were duplicates. This has happened to me several times with several different series numbers.

    Lanlord,

After yours is actually entered, it will ask for your zip code, than you'll get the correct results.
