Another Monster Toned Peace for the Collection!

Just had to share the most recent acquisition for my toned Peace registry set. God I hope this crosses to a MS 64 with NGC. What are your thoughts?

I tried to snipe another monster the seller had, but got sniped by someone
I had to get the 23-P after you got me on the 1924-P MS-64 dollar. Let me know how you like the 24-P it looks nice.

It's been about 2 months I've been working on this set and so far I'm 1/3 finished. The 28-S brings me to 8 toned Peaces. I have a couple of extras in AU/BU grades as well.
I still think I can do it, but it may take 10 years to find some of the harder dates, I think I got one with the most recent purchase.
If the coin crosses @ 64 then I underbid, but I doubt it. The reverse has some problems which I think limit it to 63. None-the-less, I still think its a great coin, but I'll have to wait to see it in person before making any final judgements.
If I didn't go strong, I doubt if I would have found another 28-S with that kinda of toning.
Thanks for everyone's comments, even the negs, I appreciate it!
JOHN - BTW - I'm anxious to take a look at the 23-D, does it have similar toning to the 28-S.

Somewhat. The reverses are similar, and both coins probably need to be tilted in order to see the full range of color. I think the 28S is brighter than the 23D, but the 23D gets interesting when rotated under light (pink and orange). If you can make it to the Anaheim Show on Dec. 8, then we can compare/contrast both coins, unless of course your 28S is off to NGC by then.
I probably will bring the full range of toned peaces with me to Anaheim, I'll wait until after XMas to send them off to NGC. With the holiday crush, I wouldn't want my lovely painted ladies to get lost in the mail. I would then have to go "postal!"
I'm interested in your opinion as well. Not all are monsters, just 2 so far and the others are good examples of other types of toning, ie, crescent, rim, album, streaked, charcoal.
I don't want an entire set of monsters, I what a variety of different types of toning.
I look forward to seeing the coin.
Thanks for the challenge - By the way I also snagged this one tonight
1935-S Michael Jackson Toned Peace Dollar
Figure out why I gave it that name!

I looked at that coin and the two other toned Peace dollars that this seller had. It just didn't have the right color scheme I was seeking, but the price was right. My first coin was a circulated '28-P Peace that my grandmother left me, so that coin did have some intrinsic interest. However, I have decided to hold off buying toned coins for awhile and concentrate on my gold type set. Right now I'm bidding on a sweet little $3 I found that will be rather spendy. I'll look for a nice (um) PEACE in Long Beach.
The important thing is that the coin pleases YOU-and it didn't cost an arm-and-a-leg. And it's a good date, too.
Congrats and thanks for sharing it with us,
Barney
