Price of recent silver Proof sets
At the Santa Clara show on Friday, I overheard a couple dealers deep in a discussion about recent silver proof sets, specifically the ones since the state quarter program started.
One of them was emphatic that the 2001 silver Proof set was going to not only catch the 1999 in price, but overtake it, and do so handily.
Lately I have seen some rather impressive increases in both, but probably more of an increase in the 2001. Any opinions on this subject?
I wouldn't mind seeing the whole lot go up like a rocket, but what's realistic for the future? Any crystal balls out there? We are getting close to the end of the year, if your crystal ball sees other numismatic related items of interest for the new year, please post.

I am with nwcs on this one.I think the 2002's will also climb because of the quality problem the mint seemed to have.I heard many people say they returned their sets because of defects. So out of the first (4) years of production of the State Quarter Program, there is a reason for values to go up.That and the elusive silver stock pile question. Will the price of Silver go up once the mint has to buy from the open market,in order to produce these sets?
