I'll have to pull Breen down off the shelf when I get home, to see which variety you're talking about. See my response to your reply about my 1798/7 cent- I might need to look in Breen for the variety of the Colonial halfpenny found with it.
TBE, I am not sure how to quantitate rareness of varieties of Barber dimes that have not been popularized as in the 1915-S RPM. Breen says "rarely" but he was legend for off the cuff opinions that lacked preciseness. I have found similar listings that I have found to be present in a significant percentage of the specimens in my collection. I don't have the Lawrence reference. Barber coins are not a major interest of mine. Is there a specialty group for Barber's as the LSCC ( Liberty Seated ) and the John Reich ( Bust) specialty groups that have Journals and dialogue on the topic of varieties? The fact is most collectors are big in grades, $, and those varieties that are popularized enough to generate premium $ but are not interested in knowning their coins for RPD, MPD, RPM, etc for the its own Numismatic interest. Maybe we need a "varieties forum" to discus such matters.

I presume the "rmp" in your title is a typo for "RPM"?
thanks

Lawrence lists only one RPM variety for 1915-S.It is "1915-S,S/S North" Lawrence101.
It must be kind of rare...I don't have one....
