i figure with 5-6 weeks for Claret to get healed for good that the game will be a classic matchup. the OSU defense has been carrying the team for awhile now, it'll be nice to have a bit more balance on the other side of the ball. it's looking to me like a legitimate title game.
We Case Western Reserve (Cleveland, Ohio) Spartans Football alumni are also rooting for the OSU Buckeyes in their quest for the National Championship. Maybe for next year, you will give us some better leftover recruits for our football team as we are also trying to reclaim our past glory and indeed was ranked in the top 5 in total offensive yardage in NCAA Division III this year!!
with don shula as an alumni CWRU will never have anything to be ashamed of and will never be lacking glory. he grew up about 20 miles away in grand river. what a player and what a teacher. case gave him to cleveland who gave him to baltimore who gave him to miami who gave him up to canton. he's gone full circle. edited to say my wires were crossed and shula went to JCU not CWRU. i'm initial challenged!! hey lucille

Yea! My Buckeyes won. I've seen many games there. They came trhuogh big today. Still I don't like them to be so close -right down to the very last second.
toothpuller: No, I tore my achilles just before I arrived in August 1971 and could not play. I was reduced to a spectator, intramural and dorm player. Those were the dark ages of Spartan football. My wife was one of the ones holding those cone things to cheer on the small group of fans, which often numbered less than 50.
Just four weeks ago, I attended a game at Finnegan Field and about 1000 showed up. I was amazed! Not only that they now have cheerleaders which we did not have back then. Looks like football has been reborn at CWRU.
I understand that they are building a 3500 seat mini stadium to handle the growth of the fan base at CWRU., which I now prefer to call Case even though I am a "Western Reserve" graduate,.
Its not like the Buckeyes win their games, they just haven't lost their games. This Penn Stater married into a Buckeye family, oh the pain of it all.....
Its a shame that they both couldn't lose. Neither one is very good in comparison to Big Ten teams of past years. OSU was extremely lucky this year. As much as I hate to admit it Iowa likely would have kicked Ohio State's a$$ bigtime.
I have to admit I'm a OSU graduate. I saw the game today and that is rare as I usually don't spend time watching sports, but, Ohio State is doing so good this year that I had to watch. Michigan was indeed the challenge! But... GO BUCKEYES!
.......and i thought it was because of all the COIN i had riding on the game. heck, they were listening and watching the game at a coin show today, so why not talk about it at a coin forum??

Well you REALLY want to know???????
Because we are secretly plotting to have the picture of the Buckeyes' football on the upcoming Michigan statehood quarter.
Now that would be sweet indeed.
