An interesting coin for someone with deep pockets.

I got this as an e-mail from David Lawerence. They usually send an e-mail on Fridays as a news flash about new coins they got for sale recently. I couldn`t afford a coin like this unless I win a lottery or something. I just thought it might be worth a look.

I got to check out TWO of those at the auction lot viewing in Baltimore. I never thought I'd ever see one! But DLRC's is nicer than the two I saw.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Neat coin. I know there is a PCGS PO01 out there somewhere too. Every now and then it's offered for sale.

<< <i>Considered by many to be our first official coin, some believe the silver used came directly from Martha Washington's silverware >>

And it looks like Martha is on the obverse, too.

I would love to own that coin. Very, very cool. Thanks for sharing it.
  • I'm confused.
