Santa Clara coin show pickups

I saw a 1913 Liberty head nickel today. Interesting, I want one, but doubt I'll ever actually have the denaro to afford one.

I also saw a booth where a guy had 5 (count them 5) 1916 SLQs - I want one of them too - this I can do with a little patience.

I did pick up:
1825 cent in EF
1807 large stars half dollar in EF
1839o bust half in VF
A 1964 Proof set with a pointed 9 dime and AH half (11 clams on this one - I don't wanna talk about how much the other cost)

Pretty good show, but they made you wear a large (4"X6") badge in the show and if you removed it the badge geshtopo would come and bust your chops - kind of stupid if you ask me.

    very nice score. Congrads
I just pick up a 31 half capped bust today. he had a xf 39 half but it was a little more than I could afford and with a layaway on a 1917 type 1 SLQ.

I hate it when you see my post before I can edit the spelling.

Always looking for nice type coins

    my local dealer
  • Maybe this is common at coin shows, but 90% of the stuff on display are Morgan dollars, which I like, but some other people here think ms morgan isn't pretty.

When I saw Shania's photo in your sig line, I was going to congratulate you for the best pick up of the show... then I realized you were writing about coins.

Nice score with the other busty types, even if Shania wasn't one of them. image
