Where are the best deals for certified coins?

I was wondering where does one find the best coin values today?

The message board?
Teletrade?
Ebay?
Heritage?
Friends?
Print Media Advertising?
Local Coin Dealer?
Local Coin Show?
Internet Web sites?
Submitting coins yourself?

Was just wondering.

Probably an impossible to answer question. Really depends on what you are looking for.

I think the best deals on certified coins are buying the coins raw and submitting them yourself.

I like to submit my early 50s DCAMs myselfimage

Seriously though, it depends what you are looking for. For modern proofs, I like to submit them myself.... but it can be cheaper and less work to pick them up from Tulving or e-bay.

The moderns are a blast to find yourself, but they do require a great deal
of effort. It also takes some time to look through the sets. I find looking
    enjoyable too, so it's great.

Short of finding and making them yourself, this hobby's a lot like the rest of life, namely, the best deals are via relationships.

People who come across particularly nice coins and are motived to sell them, appear to go first to people they know who desire the coins, who are able/motivated to buy them, and with whom they share a mutual confidence, respect and trust, before they venture out into the relative unknown of the general public. In short, my best deals have come through individuals and dealers with whom I've established a good rapport and repeat business.
