One good thing about PCGS slabs

I had a heck of a time trying to photograph two NGC coins yesterday. The auto color balance on my digital camera just didn't work well with the white slab and the particular coins I was working with a RB Lincoln and a toned Seated dime. The manual color balance choices didn't help either (well one did make that Lincoln look really bright red, but that wasn't natural).
I finally placed some black construction paper on the slab next to the coin. It helped a little.
The clear PCGS slabs show my wood table under the coin. This results in much better color balance. At least with my current set up.

OK Russ time to come out of the closet...tell us about the outfit your putting together, is it just to die for?
that's funny you should say that. i went there for the same reason about a year ago and was thinking "man, look at the size of this place - and i'm gonna be the only one in here"
wow was i wrong. i had to wait in line with a bunch of women while waiting for someone to cut me off a piece of the stuff. then had to wait another 15 minutes at the register - with 3 lanes open!
2 Cam-Slams!

I sent my wife to get some different colors of felt. Didn't even want to attempt to go into a store like that. Of course, it took her nearly 2 hours.........
