    Looks like a gem PQ. Probably caught the eye of a few bidders present for this date, which has only 3 coins graded higher, and they bid it up, thinking they could get it upgraded one of these days.

    I'd guess this was an anomaly and not a pattern across Lincolns sold at the auction, due to the quality of this particular coin.

    Anybody know any different?

    Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
