SPURS LOOKING?: Apparently the Spurs are entertaining talks on Steve Smith, Smitty has an ending contract which appeals to a number of teams, and given that the Spurs are sitting at #4 in the West, there is talk that if they can upgrade Smitty, they will look at deals. A Spurs source downplayed any immediate movement, but would not deny that the team is at least listening to offers, but that there is no desire to m ake a change, especially sitting at #4 in the West, if they start to slip, don’t be surprised to see a change by the deadline, especially if offers on Smitty’s ending deal get serious.
