REASON FOR BAR CODE ON FRONT OF LABEL

SteveSteve Posts: 3,312 ✭✭✭
Thank you for answering questions on the forum.

Last year you made a change in the "blue insert labels" that are on the PCGS holders. The change seemed primarily to move the bar code identification from the back to the front of the label. Many of us liked the "clean look" that the front label showed without the bar code, particularly when viewing our coins in an album.

My question is, WHY was this change made?

Thank you.

Many dealers use the bar code for inventory tracking purposes. These dealers suggested that moving the bar code to the front would make things a lot easier for them. That's why we made the change.

Your point about the appearance makes sense. It's probably time to get back to the drawing board and figure out a way to help the dealers and also satisfy the final buyer...you!
