Gold Bullion Question?

I have plans to attend a coin show this weekend and I want to use some gold bullion coins to buy some peace dollars. Do most dealers accept gold bullion coins as trade for other coins? Should I ask the dealer first before I look at his inventory or should I select the coins I want then ask for a trade? What would be reasonable for me to expect in value for my gold bullion? Thanks for your answers.

Depends on the person. If it was me I would figure the bullion the same as cash. You're probably better off finding a strong bullion buyer at the show, selling the coins for cash and then using the cash to buy the coins. If a dealer has a coin you want and they don't deal in bullion their just going to go over to the main bullion guy at the show, find out what they are paying and knock something off. Of course before you sell the bulliuon coins you want to make sure there are coins at the show you want.

Don't know which coins you have. Right now it's 8:15 on Nov. 20th and gold is 319.60.
The bids for the most common coins are:
    Eagles 327
    Maples 325
    Krugerrands 317

I've never had any trouble. especially if you're swapping for something sitting in their case for months (or even years) image might even get a better deal than the bullion dealers are offering (usually below spot.)
