Home Buy, Sell & Trade - Cards & Memorabilia

I need this one card...HELP!

I know this is a vintage topic but it seems that the vintage board sees little action. If anyone one has this, LMK.

I am looking to trade or buy a low grade 1964 Topps Phil Niekro RC. It doesn't matter to me whether it is raw or graded, mangled or just slightly creased, drawn on, cut in half, whatever!

Please help.

Thanks,

No feeling like finishing a vintage set, Pacman. When they don't show up too often on eBay reasonably priced, one does crazy things.

  • looked at my dad's list and he doesn't have it listed. Guess it wasn't his RC image

Thanks, Shane. They are definitely out there but the prices just keep jumping for raw examples. I saw one went for $10 the other day which would have been great but I was out of town and didn't have the auction monitored. I'll watch a few of the ones you posted. They are newly listed so maybe I can get a deal.

  • Man if I wanted to buy a card that bad (cut in half...etc) I'd spend the extra bit and get it. And we are talking a cheap card too...$10+...man just buy them all.

I remember there was a no name guy I wanted to get as a joke for my friends (hockey...Harold Snepsts) I wanted it because this guy played on like 12 different teams, scored like 10 goals in 20 seasons and was just a bum. I asked a dealer for one and he laughed at me. I found one and the guy wanted like $10...booked at $2 (guess he wanted the extra money for searching for it). Didn't mind paying...that's small time change but hey it was a good buy. He's the last card from the set and you know from the old cards that people loved to stack them up with elastics and the first and last card got damaged. Well last time I looked it booked at $20 ! I really didn't care that it booked or anything but man was it a funny gift for my friend. I put it in a 3 inch thick screwcase and gave it to him. Guy cracked up, still one of his favourite cards in his collection.

    Vince:

$10 for this card is the exception, not the norm. My mention of "Cut in half" was just meant to express the amount that I am looking for this card--any will do. I was high bidder at $20 on one and it ended for $28--with shipping and insurance it was $33. If I can trade some one on the boards, it's that much easier.
