Anyone else go to the Baystate coinshow in Boston this weekend?

I bought my first relatively expensive (for me) unslabbed coin at the show on Sat. It was an 1867 shield nickel w' rays in AU. I was so excited I forgot nearly everything I know about this series and just bought it. Afterwards I noticed that the stars were very weekly struck even for this date. I guess I can chalk this up to experience. Has anyone else ever choked when buying a coin?

Anyone else have stories from this show?
