The image doesn't seem to be working. I have been having the same problem. Edit the message, delete the image and re-upload it.

The image worked for me on the 4th try. Don't know what that means.

Those $2s with the canceled stamps - was anything like that done before or since? Or was that a Bicentennial thing only?

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

This is the first one I've seen with a postmark other than 13 April 1976. The two-dollar bill was reintroduced on that date, but ended up being less successful than the SBA (hard to believe). The 13 April date was chosen because it's Jefferson's birthday. Most of them sell on eBay now for about $2.00 each.

  • Image is woking for me but only after several tries.

These $2 bills were personally done by a stamp collecting friend of mine and myself. He is a fiend for 2 dollar bills and is on a personal mission to get them into circulation. He gets about $200 worth every week and uses them for all his cash purchases. Been doing it in KC for many years now.

As far as I know there are only 20 or less of these Liberty Missouri post marked twos in existance. Forget how we got the date, going to call him tomorrow and see if he remembers how many we did and how.

Ill post it when I learn more.
