LOW POP COMMONS QUESTION????

i was hoping some of you guys could respond with some posts with years and card #'s of low pop commons. ones that are "elusive" in psa 8 or better. mainly curious about ones from the 60's and 70's. i have a source of thousands upon thousands of commons from those 2 decades that i want to check in the next couple of weeks. it isn't anything that i'd be collecting, but rather trading off to some of you guys who might still need them. any help would be appreciated! thanks!! tim

The easiest thing to do would be to check the population reports for each year. If you don't have access -- I guarantee that the $5- investment would yield great rewards given the access to commons that you purport to have. Watch out with the 1970s -- there are still a few years in the 1970s where low population PSA 8/9 commons do not command much of a premium. You can review Ebay completed auctions to get a better feeling for which ones have a strong demand.

It would be nice if you would change your Gumby and Pokey picture. There are minors who read these boards who don't need to see it and I'm sure others who like myself find it offensive. I'm surprised collectors universe allows that trash to stay up.
I collect the 1960 and 1961 Nu Card issues. I also enjoy the 1959 Fleer Three Stooges.

PHIL & GEM...my apologies if it was offensive to you. i had used the flag for months and months and was looking through all the new ones when i ran across that. i actually didn't mean to use it as my pic and don't pay much attention when posting, so i didn't know that's what i had set it to. now, back to a more traditional pic!!!!

  • Promethiuss,

I had that same logo for a couple of days but when I put it up I didn't even look to see what they were doing. Someone here noticed it and said something so I changed it right away. I appreciate you changing it also as my 12 year old son reads the comments over my shoulder almost every day.

    Thanks,

you know, i was out there on the buy-sell-trade boards for a long time and put up with all of the nonsense going on. finally i got fed up with all the childishness and just stopped collecting for about 6-8 months. i go over and read their stuff every once in a while now, and it seems as if nothing has changed. now, after a month or so of using the registry forum, i realize how wise my decision was!! it's nice to have a place where you can go and not have to worry if kids can read the posts or if there is actually anything of substance worth reading! I, in no way, want to have any part of lowering this forum to that level. the information shared on these pages is absolutely priceless. my apologies again and thanks for the help!

    Hi Tim..

We have been buddies for a couple years now.. and I only mean this in the nicest way possible.. stop outbidding me on the 86 fleers! LOL.. I promise from here on out if you have bid on something I will stay clear... my ebay ID is frankmcii... and it seems we are only hurting each others wallets.. so I propose a truce of sorts image
