  • I'll guess MS-66, nice coin though!
  • I would say MS65. A bigger pic might reveal more but it looks to be a very nice coin.

Based on the pic, I'll say 65, maybe a 64 if there is stuff I can't see.

    Very nice. I'll say it's a strong 65

  • The obverse says 64, but the reverse screams 66.

That reverse is making me drool. Looks like the hammer came down more than once on that strike.

I think I'll go MS65 on this one.

Maybe it's just me or the small image, but it looks like the breast on both Miss Liberty and the eagle have rub on them. There is a lot of nice looking coin around that, but I gotta bust it down to an AU58 for those two locations.

    LanLord:

I agree that the breast has rub, but that's probably a rub from being in a roll rather than in circulation. And, based on my coins, PCGS does not grade a coin with rub roll as AU. (Of course, I have only a small sample, so perhaps Oreville's coin is graded AU.) But based on what little I can see and based on the fact that I think Oreville has exceptional coins, I think I'll go MS66 or MS67.

P.S.: LanLord--does your comment about "rub on the breast" have anything to do with the picture in your signiture?image

I think it is a 65 also but a nice one at that. but there is something most special about that reverse as a few others have said as well.

Mind boggling strike on the reverse.

I own a PCGS MS-68 walker as well and the reverse is not light years better than this one.

But I did pay a bit of a premium.....$137.50 delivered.

The seller is a good guy too!

I don't think you paid a bit of a premium at all. I feel you paid a decent price for a nice coin.

If you look carefull below the neck of the eagle on the reverse there is a small nick which keeps the coin from grading higher. In my view, this is not a coin to be resubmitted.

I do feel NGC would grade this coin a 66 but it stays right in this holder.

These are the sacrifices I am willing to make for other attributes such as strike and luster of a coin as others do as well.
