PCGS Flip Labels

Just out of curiousity .... is PCGS picky about the type of labels you use to label flips for submission for grading? Just curious as I would like to buy some labels that I can print in my laser printer.

And if you have recommendations on what type of labels to use, please let me know! Thanks!

Doesn't matter. I use whatever paper I have laying around and cut it to the correct size. I've even used some yellow stock I had leftover.

  • I've been writting the information on the flip itself using a permanent sharpie - works for me image
  • For laserprinting flip labels, the Compulabel #310151 "UPC barcode" labels are the best I've found, they're 1-1/2" x 1" so they work with both 2x2 and the PCGS-desired 2.5x2.5 flips without any trimming.

They come in a box of 100 sheets (5000 labels), should be able to find for about $20 delivered.

  • I too write directly on the plastic flips with a marker.
  • I type them out in an Excel spreadsheet print them on standard printing paperand then cut them out, never had a problem. So the answer to your question is no.

I suppose I'm just a "maggot" as you may have figured from the "military background" thread. I package my coins according to the letter per PCGS instructions, using both their mylar flips and labels. I love uniformity, and I do believe, compliance begets compliance.

    Exact same thing for me.
