Are you serious? That blows... most of my fantasy teams have McNabb/Bulger and WArner is due back soon. So who knows what will happen. Eagles are screwed though.
I am, you would cry to if it happened to you. Think about the Jets having the best team they had in years, and than their franchise player going down for 6-8 weeks, and no Testeverde isn't that!
ya, no kidding. it says nothing on espn, nfl.com, or phillies site. And if it was that serious of an injury, he sure as hell wouldnt on finished the game. They would of taken him out for the 4th since they had the win already.
ya uwftke, im gald the giants won, although they are philly's only rivals. but you know what thito would say, "redskins are gonna win the division easily" lol
Eagles were the best of a bad division;at best even with him.Sorry to see a serious injury like that to anyone but they wouldn't go far into the playoffs anyway. Halftime show on CBS said Detmer would be the starter.Oh well,Eagle fans, there is always next year.

mcnabb is best qb in nfc right now, if not nfl. and u dont think the eagles can make it far into tghe playoffs? they were 3 pts away from superbowl last year!
Thats all you go by? How about 81.4 rating vs. 101.7? Thats a HUGE difference. 57% pass completion vs. 66% completion. Sure he makes plays with his legs, but so does favre. Favre the bet at getting out of the pocket and throwing on the run. So he may not technically get it with his feet cause he didnt run for the yards, he is still the one who made the play. I rest my case. Favre the best

LOL, you are so stupid. McNabb has passed like 40 times more for 200 or so less yards. Its called EFFICIENCY. 6.05 Yards per Attempt vs. 7.56. Im not bashing McNabb, but your idea of "Well he has the most yards, he must be the best" is a weak argument. QB rating is what matters. Yards per attempt is what matters. Let me guess, are you one of those guys that says during the baseball season "Oh, he is 20-4, that must mean he is great" yet you dont look and see the guy has like a 4.75 ERA and plays on a team like the Yankees or whoever, and other pitchers who have that same ERA on losing teams are like 8-15 or whatever

he got his ring a while ago, it has nothing to do with now. and if u want to go with rings, how long did it take favre to make it to the playoffs, let alone the bowl? mcnabb has been in playoffs almost every yr, and 3 pts away from bowl last season.
and who cares about qb rating, bulger is leading in qb rating for gods sake. mcnabb not only has more yds, but fewer ints(and accroding to u, threw 40 more times), and a lot more tds.
farve vs mcnabb 2244 vs 2034 passing yds 25 vs 463 running yds 2271 vs 2497 total yards 5 vs 6 ints 65.7% vs 56.5% 101.7 vs 81.4 qb rating that is without this week. mcnabb will have fewer picks after this weeks stats, % will go up, while farves drops, qb rating will go up, while farves drops, tds will go up 4 more, compared to farve 2.
so that will give u probably 10 point higher qb rating(how do they get this # anyway?), 5% difference in completions in favres favor. and a couple hundred yds more, 2 fewer ints, and 4 more tds than favre. so who puts up the better stats? who puts up more points? who has better td/int ratio, and better pass/int ratio. lets see. MCNABB
So Favre had a bad week, big deal. He is just going to push it back up the rest of the year anyways. I dont really know what the QB ratings will be after this week, but guarenteed favre is going to push his back up. And Favre made the playoffs his 1st year with GB (1st year as starter)

Did I say he got hurt running the ball?? Are you blind, ignorant, stupid, or D.) All of the above ??
I typically don't resort to name calling but when I'm trying to conversate with some of the immature kids on this board it seems to be the only way to get a point across.
If you saw the play you saw McNabb scrambling out of the pocket where he got hit on the run. He was not running full speed but he was scrambling out of the pocket. It may have been a sack, but I'll say it again, he was scrambling out of the pocket.
If it didn't happen this week it was bound to happen eventually. I said it once and I'll say it again. All scrambling QB's are destined to get hurt, and that's a fact.

Yea, I've been saying that too. Guys like Vick and McNabb are awesome, phenominal talents. However, this kind of running is going to get them killed. Favre has learned. He actually used to run out of the pocket and started to get plastered. So as he has progressed mentally he has stopped running down the field and instead just throws on the run, which is as, if not more effective. If McNabb and Vick can learn that throughout their careers they will be fine, but if they continue to be like Steve Young they are going to get smacked around and have to end their careers early

I can't tell you how many games I watched cringing as Steve Young left the pocket in a scamble with loaded weapons taking shots at him downfield. I witnessed Steve Young's last play of his career in person at the MNF 49ers vs. Cardinals game when he got plastered from both sides just before halftime. Sad moment it was but life goes on. McNabb will be back next year.

Why would Favre retire? He has at least 4 more years left in him. And actually if he retired this year hed have the same # of years as aikman, and I believe it would be 1 less than Young. But the question is, did Young start all those years in Tampa?

Too bad to see a talent like MCNabb go down.Looks like a tight race between he Giants and Eagles...Giants didn't looktoo impressive in beating the Skins
Mcnabb is still young and seems to be improving every year.. Farve as we all know has been and still is a great qb. the only problem i've seen with Farve over the years is at times he has the tendancy to force to many balls but then again with his arm i don't blame him.. can't go wrong with either qb, why are you guys debating this
Sure McNabb might have better "stats" overall... but who is at running back for the eagles? Farve has a pretty decent back with Ahman Green behind him. McNabb is gonna get some extra numbers b/c he doenst have any other pro bowl players on his team that they can count on. McNabb has to do it all. you cant go by Farve's game today... he never plays good in Minnesota, but 296 yards 2 TDs aint to bad for such a terrible day ...besides...
Packers- 8-2
Eagles- 7-3 and McNabb is lost for 6-8 weeks

Who's hurt and out for the year. MCNABB.
All that running around he does finally got him hurt. It's just a matter of time before ANY scrambling QB gets hurt.
That's why the pocket QB is the ideal QB. No scrambling QB has ever won a superbowl.
Steve Young of my 49ers was the closest thing to a scrambling QB that has won the Superbowl ever.
