http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1581471848&rd=11957 Topps PSA 7 basketball card

Here is a nice 1957 Topps basketball common in PSA 7. I believe this card is not a Short Print and the SMR price is $75. It is definately a low pop but I was still hoping to win it for around $80. I was close. I better hope everybody else goes on holidays the next time this card comes up.

aro> If you look at the bid history on it, it looks like two people just wanted it real bad. Beacuse outside of those two, the next highest bidder was at $81. So if you were hoping to win it for $80, you were right in line price-wise. Just in this instance it looks like two guys pulled out the measuring stick and tried to see whose was longer.

Mike-Yes, true, except that there were probably plenty of bidders like me who were willing to pay more than SMR who never got the chance because bidding was over $150 awfully early.

Shill bidding (as an alternative to 2 eager bidders) can get you price to whatever you want ... whenever you want. With a feedback of 6...you never know.
