Coin Viewing...Novel Idea Lately...Mercs of Course.

The 7's came too a New Home Yesterday. Pictures may be a little small but what do you want at 2:44 AM ?

All FB coins but the 27S does not look like it because of a Scratch/ Smudge right over the Middle Band on the Slab. Some People must treat the Slab Mercs like they are Lincolns or Type coins. Just throwing them anywhere thus creating Scratches/ Smudges on the Slab. Shame on those people, Merc's should be held in Higher Esteem than that. image

Guess the Grades if you care too. No Cheating by going to the Set though. Also You White Coin guys should like these. image

    Ken,

All 3 are great looking coins. I haven't checked your set yet, but knowing what you had before, I'd guess them to be 65,64,66 (all FB).

Congrats on some neat additions to your set.

I echo everyone else's comments about nice coins. For my guesses--opps, I mean my grades--I will see cocoinut and raise him one: 66, 64, 67 and, of course, all FB.

P.S.: I must say that I wish you would keep your coins off of these boards. These boards are designed for whining and controversy, flaming and trolling, not showing off beautiful Mercs. image

The 37S is a Very Nice Dime and just may be the Best Technically Graded Dime in the collection. Mr. Gus Tiso has a eye for Merc's plus he prices them fairly. image

Heck for a while I was thinking of Mailing a Dime around to see how everyone grades. By what I have seen here this is not needed at all. image You Guys are Good !!!!! Did you Cheat and go to the Set ??

    Ken,

Nice coins... I looked at your set earlier when I was playing with the guess the grade on my 18.

Ken, great post. I would like to see more photos on the boards, with comparisons. I think Paul got us rolling on this with the Indians from the showdown. Everyone here got to see some great coins side by side. Thanks!

    Now what about dem grades?

Hi Ken and fellow Merc collectors,

Came in too late to get to play the guess the grade, so I'm only here to tell Ken congrats. Great 37-S, that is at the top of my most wanted list along with the 39-S. And I'm sure glad you got the upgrade on the 17-P image

What has happened in the Mecr registry since Friday evening? I registered two new dimes to my set Friday evening, and moved up to #22 , then when I logged on tonight, I'm at # 21. Who dropped out? I don't want to move up this way!

I finally received my 31-D 65FB from Whitlow, thanks for the help and advice Dennis, a really nice dime. Also registered a really nice 17-P in 64FB. Have 3 more new ladies on the way, 44-S in 66FB which is an upgrade, 34-P in 66FB, and another that I cannot talk about for a couple of weeks per my agreement with the seller, but it's a good mid 20's "D" in 64FB

BTW, I'm knocking on the door of the 1st page now! Might be knocking for a while. as there is a big jump between me and # 20. I'd just like to be able to see the porch where the "big dogs" are!!!

Maybe they tried fishing with the Merc's in the slab. Doesn't work, I've tried image

BTW, a mighty fine trio you have there.

You heathernistic fish lure collector!!image Those are very pretty dimes. And the Merc is my favorite Dime of all. I like the way they flash when a nice Brown Trout is about to strike.imageimage Nice coins. mdwoods

They're all MS65 and 66 and full bands too. Nice clean cheeks and strong strikes. Congratulations!
