For everyone who thinks the "big boys" don't get low grades...

orderno=894108 - I still can't sit down...
Just figured I'd post this so everyone could feel better when they get a submission back they aren't happy with.
To save some counting, I believe there's 783 total cards, 34 PSA 9s, nothing nicer...

Why do I get the feeling, that some cards are worth money, while others are not?

Wow! Michael's career is not quite over, but is Sol's? That's a serious visit to the woodshed. From all of us who have been there, done that, we feel your pain.
There were a wide range of grades so Im assuming you were expecting some low ones, but obviously not that many. Ive never submitted that many at the same time, let alone all of the same cards.
Are there 7's that look as good as 9's? Im just curious as my small submissions have come back in a similar format.
Thanks
WOW............What do you think the 8's stemmed from?
I'm not familiar with this card, but are there particulars about it that the graders would focus on? Or might it be simply a lightly-touched corner?
I just recently purchased a Celestron 20-40X microscope that, among other things, I'm using for the touched corner issue.
BOTR
I just thought people would be interested in seeing the flipside, because what gets all the press are those PSA 10s that are 58/42 where the "big boy" dealer caught a break....
Now I do not feel that bad. I recently sent in a bunch of modern cards (1972 and up) and I got killed on the results too. It's funny, I could send in cards from the 50's and pull 7's and 8's with no problem, but I look at a 1977 Topps Pete Rose card and it looks like a 10 to me and it comes back a 7.
Have a nice weekend,
Mike

Jay> The turnaround on my last three orders has been - 2 days, 2 days, and 3 days. I have a feeling my next one will take longer as people start submitting more 70s stuff @ $5 per.

MIKE - Thats impressive! Hopefully the grades were so good that you wanted them home sooner.
My last submission took about 7 days, which was great. I expected 8's and maybe a 9 or 2, half came back 8's
and the rest 7's & 6's plus a bonus "5". I wasn't in any rush to open the package...jay
