Walking Liberty reference book?

Is there a good reference book out there for Walking Liberty Half Dollars? The only book I have heard of is one by Swiatek.

That's also the only one I've heard of. Would be interested if there are any others myself.

  • I've got one called "The Complete Guide to Walking Liberty Half Dollars" by Bruce Fox.

I haven't compared it to other Walker books, so can't really say how it stacks up. It
does have a fair amount of info, issue by issue, and shows a lot of the doubled-dies
    and such.

I have the Fox book and I think it's very good.

I also have the Fox book, but have never compared it to the Swiatek book. Has always had the information I have needed, but I haven't pushed the information button with Walkers too hard. image

I've never looked at the Swiatek book, but I really like the Fox book!

It has a nice section on the development of the coin, including pictures of patterns; a very nice grading guide, including mid-grades and big pictures; and an informative page or two on each coin, plus other text.

The Fox book came out about the time of the Merc and Buffalo books. IMO, it was the best of the three. Swiatek's book is quite a bit older....
