Qualifiers and Weighted Grade

How do qualifiers affected the weighted grade on a set?

If they do, does a (ST), (OC) or (PD) have a different affect on the weighted grade?

  • they knock the grade down two, so a 8 would become a 6 and so on. All of the Qualifiers affect the weights the same.

Yes, they do reduce by 2 grades for any qualifier. However shouldn't it be a one grade reduction? I have had many PSA 8 oc cards regraded to PSA 7 when I request "no qualifiers" on my invoice!

Always looking for 1957 Topps BB in PSA 9!
  • Here is my article about "OC".

I think it should work like this:

OC 1.50 (PSA-8(OC) should be less than PSA-7 but more than PSA-6)
MC 3.50 (These are just bad)
PD 1.50 (This is kind of random)
ST 1.50 (This is hard, but let's assume this is wax on the back)
OF 2.00 (These are almost all visually unappealing)
MK 3.00 (This is harsh, but a PSA-9(MK) is perhaps as good as a PSA-6)
