Leave Adrian Alone...He Can't Help Himself

Adrian was an abused child, as he has let us know in his Goodbye David Hall thread. His revelation was a cry for help and understanding.
As an adult, Adrian has channeled the insecurity and hurt of his childhood into his profession, and has become a successful PI lawyer– a combative profession– and a flamboyant coin dealer–also a profession in which one swims with sharks.

Years of having to grovel before petty tyrant judges and having to eat the dirt they throw at litigants and their attorneys in the form of arbitrary and capricious rulings has clearly led to a build-up of internalized rage in Adrian. Some cope with this frustration and rage by turning to drugs or alcohol. Others beat their wives and abuse their kids.

Adrian finds psychological release by coming on this forum and bashing the weak and defenseless–including a man suffering from a serious and difficult to treat mental impairment; a compulsive poster; and modern coin collectors.

In some respects Adrian's case history is reminiscent of Ty Cobb, who came from a dysfunctional family–his father was an alcoholic who abused his mother. Cobb grew up to be a superbly talented but nasty ballplayer who intentionally spiked other players, and once went into the stands in New York to beat up a wheel chair bound double amputee who was heckling him during a game.

Cobb made a fortune investing in CocaCola stock, and was known to carry around a bag with millions of dollars worth of stock when he traveled. He met thousands of people in his life, both team mates, writers, team owners etc. But when he died less than ten people attended his funeral.

So please show some sympathy and understanding when Adrian flames you or others. He can't help himself.
