Even with all the negativity and personality clashes seen in these forae, this is still one of the most educational places on the internet for coin people and other collectors.
ANYBODY that comes here and bothers to cruise the threads can mine some nuggets from the overburden. Even if they think they know it all. Heaven knows, I've known it all for decades, but have learned from the discourse here.
I would like to take a moment from my usual carping and whining to thank CU for providing this place for hobbyists to socialize.
THANK YOU!!!

and even the negative posts have valuable lessons in them even though we can strive to make this a kinder, gentler experience.
Joe.
Good thread, I share your sentiment. This is a great resource center, thank-you CU!
Joe
I think the diverse personalities create an interesting environment. Some of the back and forth banter is witty and good-natured. Some is a bit more ill-tempered. (I tend not to read the latter.) Just like you find anywhere in Society.
All in all, there are a very large number of nice, intelligent and witty folks that hang out here. They provide a lot of entertainment. I would now like to take a moment to thank them.
THANK YOU!!!

editted to ensure you know that I was kidding
The information I have recieved here is better and cheaper than many of my coin books/videos that I have purchased.
I also like the different opinions I read - different likes/dislikes - methods of doing things - opinions on auctions, etc.
CU, I hope you can keep this going for a long time - don't worry about that NASDAQ thing - its only good if you need more cash generated by having another offering - your business will survive on its own won't it? (I'm asking because I'm close to sending in a couple thousand dollars of coins for grading - I'm not sure what would happen if the grading firm declared bancrupcy/closed doors while my coins were there)

Looking for Nationals, Large VF to AU type, 1928 Gold, and WWII Emergency notes. Also a few nice Buffalo Nickels and Morgan Dollars.

I'll be 51 in 18 days. I love it when people ask, "Whadda you know?" I tell them, "Less than yesterday, but more than tomorrow!" They look at me a little strangely.
I still get my best reaction, though, when people ask me why the Arizona heat doesn't bother me and I reply, "It's one of the benefits of being half Polish and half Reptile."
