Opie

In the old days...which I define as the 1970's when many of us were young guys going to coin shows 4 times a month...we all did call Ron Howard "Opie". He was the buyer for Paramount and then Steve Ivy Rare Coins (which became Heritage.) Ron's a good guy and a great grader. I'll try to talk him into participating in the Q&A forum.

Well Barney is already here on the forum, if we can only convince Aunt Bea...
Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.

Hopefully, Ron will blossom in his new role. Maybe he never had the chance. Sometimes with maturity comes confidence to deal with the public in a more gregarious way.

But yes, I expect to see Ron meeting ALL the dealers and collectors in at the Bay State Show this weekend as well as Santa Clara before the FUN show in January!
A Collectors Universe poster since 1997!
