Russ: I post virtually no scans. Never have in 5 years on ebay. 1,659 positives and 0 negatives later, still have no desire to. Why? Because, in my view, this coin should not sell on ebay due to a scan that seldom captures what a coin looks like anyway (and would never capture the mark-free surfaces on this jewel). This coin should sell after the high bidder sits down in his home with the coin for a couple days and tells me he loves it. I hope you can repect my way of doing business and my freedom to do it that way. Just like I can respect your decision not to particpate in that auction.
Roughly 98% of "pop top" 20th Century coins I handle on a daily basis these days never even hit ebay and are placed privately (some offered on the Registry Forum as well). I would be surprised if I ran more than a dozen or so auctions on ebay per month these days. Like many other neat modern coins, I offered this coin to the Registry forum members first this weekend, but could not come together on a price.
Feel free to PM me if you want more information on the coin, and if you want to see the coin up in Santa Clara at the Show next week just let me know and we can get together.

Pcgs has graded 18 ms 69 sacs for all years per the online pop report yours will make 19 when it gets on the pop report. Did you submit it raw yourself?
Placid: You may missed a recent post on the Registry Set boards about this coin. No, I have yet to spend $1 on 2002 Mint product of any kind and generally do not submit that many post-1965 coins to PCGS. I have not done so for several years now. My personal experience has shown that modern coins like this PCGS-MS69 Sac (or a 2001 Kennedy in MS69 for example I saw was also recently graded) are like a "needle in a haystack" to actually find. I commend the hard work and dedication of the collectors and dealers out there who spend countless hours pouring through Mint sets, rolls, bags, etc. to locate and slab these great coins for us. I would personally rather spend my time and money buying finished "product" or assisting lucky collectors and dealers by selling their consigned "pop top" coins, as this one is.
While many modern coins are relatively easy to locate in gem+ grade, they often times get very difficult to locate in "true" MS68 or MS69 grade, depending upon the series and date. Most collectors are quite content with a nice "under $100" example of a high grade post-1965 coin. This 2002(p) Sac in PCGS-MS68 (one grade under) I am selling right now for around $70 and they are terrific looking coins in that grade. However, a few collectors out there desire the very best and to the trained eye the PCGS-MS69 is "night and day" compared to most of the MS68 coins out there. If I was a collector desiring a beautiful example of the 2002 Sac, I might personally chose the PCGS-MS68 coin at $70. It is still a lovely coin and in an unusually high state of preservation. But, a very small percentage of collectors desire essentially the ultimate graded coin, as this Sac is. To each his own, and as you see from the ebay auction, there is certainly no "Registry hype" or "investment advice" mixed into the business of offering the wonderful coin for sale. Wondercoin

<< <i>No way to tell if the coin is any good. The seller didn't even post a scan. >>
This seller never does, but it looks just like the $60 MS68, except for a few of the numbers on the paper insert.

You seem a little defensive. Perhaps you missed the winky at the end of my post?
