anyone bought any morgans from him? He does have some nice coins and I am willing to pay a little extra for a nice coin but wanted a few opinions on his coins/customer relations and prices.

here is the one i am going to buy from him, we are haggling by email on a price. We are at 1k right now and I am waiting for his response.

He posts here on occasion, I think under the name "CasperCoin". I think we may have scared him away though when we were fighting about a 1881-S Morgan in PCGS MS69.

Mike's a good guy and has some nice coins also.......fun to wheel and deal with! and yes he visit's every once in a while.

I've had a few dealings with Mike Casper and they've all been fair and above board. He handles a lot of top quality material and I've not ever heard any negatives from anyone about their dealings with him. I can also say that he's a tough negotiator on price so be prepared.

I've never dealt with him, but the fact that he brags about submitting the same coin so many times really puts me off. It makes me fell like anything he sells has been maxed out (low end) for the grade.

well, we finished our negotiating and came to a agreement of $850 for the coin. I believe it is a fair price and he has been very nice to deal with by email.

For the record, I've seen two PCGS dollars recently offered by Caspercoin on Ebay that I previously owned and both coins are now TWO full grades higher, and he STILL says they're premium coins for the grade, HA!!

Do you mind if I ask what you think is so special about that 80-S in MS67 that makes it worth the price he quoted you, I'm just curious and not trying to be insulting or rendering an opinion.
