Dipping Dogma

Local Dealer is adherently against dipping, therefore refuses to sell any type of cleaning agent... ez-est, etc... However 90%+ of his circulated coins are blast white! Just thought it was a bit comical the way he proclaimed the evilness of a quick dip when it is quite obvious he is doing it himself. I am hardly an advocate of dipping, however there are times when it is a necessity. Hard to find an honest dealer in my neck of the woods... and even harder to find a bit of Jeweluster. Any new... or better dips on the market? Anyone?

I have noticed a "don't dip it" dealer in my area, but at lease he practices what he preches.

  • I am a complete neophyte, but the way I see it, you can never undip a coin. There is time to dip it later... just not today.

A dealer near me used to dip coins in front of his customers all the time. He did it right and gave advise on what not to do.
