Cleaning copper coins

Just picked up a few Indian Head 1c that look like they meet my needs except for the dirt on them.How do I safely clean 'em? Twowood

    Please do neither of the above posts!!!!!!!!! The only thing you can do is warm soapy water(non Abraisive) and then use vegetable oil.Pat dry.

  • A good soak in pure mineral oil is my prefered method.
  • i would do nothing because when your done....the coin is done!(cleaned)unless it is just a experiment i would do nothing to clean them.
