Stopped into a new shop this weekend - Oh my, look at the shiny things

We were out cruising around Saturday in St. Pete when in the middle of a little residential neighborhood the wife says "look a coin shop". So we stopped and headed in. The giveaway should have been the neon coins sign. But we knocked and were admitted. Half the place was jewelery and the other half coins in 2x2's with a few gold slabs. Every coin in the shop was bright white, even the well circulated. Not just white but shiny like the jewelery. I knew better but asked to see the mercs, I found a 1916 in what they called AU but I would lean toward XF, <drumroll please> $35. Passed on that for some strange reason. Decided to see what they got for silver bullion, $1.25 over spot. They don't do the local shows they told us and had a blank look when we mentioned the upcoming FUN show. Somehow I just don't see us going back there unless I need a coin I can use as a mirror, but then I have my own buffer.
