    and no it's not from Shop At Home -- the first one of these sold to a huge private Jordan collector for $1500 by the way -- so this is a heck of a deal to anyone interested.

    actually the original cost of this stamp is $2 -- but just try to find them -- I dare you... because you won't and they've sold for far higher than my asking price

    it seems like quite a few people on this board are just completely obsessed with mainstream and "book value" that they don't see the big picture in collecting. Wake up call here -- NOT ALL COLLECTORS COLLECT JUST MAINSTREAM! In fact if I did, first I'd go broke trying to collect everything and second I would not have a great collection with long term value. Let's face it, most players that are hot or book high right now will be worth hardly anything 5 or 10 years from now. There are PERFECT examples of this already -- look at Harold Miner, given there were no high end cards at the time of his popularity his items still shot from star straight to common boxes.

    Are there any players like this today in basketball for example? Of course there are.. almost any high schooler now is hyped a great deal and may not contribute anything in the future -- Tyson Chandler, Eddy Curry, and many more.

    Here's a good example -- lets say you decide to collect Tyson Chandler (this is strictly hypothetical!!) and you spend $1,000 buying his high end rookies, inserts, game jerseys, etc. Ok, now you're set... 3 years from now... Chandler is still on the Bulls, they are still a losing team, oops Chandler broke his leg and out for the season, next season he comes back, and uh oh.. hes not contributing well, the Bulls waive him, he has to go play in the NBDL and never again reaches NBA level. So guess what, none of your Chandler stuff that once booked high in the almighty Beckett is worth hardly anything now!

    But -- just for example (this is not a sales pitch, only trying to make people see the difference in all this mainstream stuff versus non-mainstream)... lets say you buy this Jordan PSE100 Stamp for 80 bucks... not a huge investment at all and we all know Jordan is the greatest player to ever walk the Earth and his legacy is secured and he is a lock for the Hall of Fame so you know Jordan's value will not fall. now 10 years later Jordan rookies will be the absolute key cards of his to own and of course they will only continue to go up in value -- By the way, even Barry Halper has these Jordan Stamps in his collection!! WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU!?? The Greatest Collector of all time owns them -- people will realize facts like this and chase these Jordan's which are already authenticated and graded a Perfect GEM 100 from PSE (a division of PSA) and the value will shoot up -- maybe at that time it reaches a value of $500 or so and you invested only 80 bucks into it.

    Now who was better off? The mainstream collector chasing who is hot at the time and spending big bucks or the collector willing to chase other items and investing very little. Hmmm........

    I'm sure it's a piece of crap considering the best collector on Earth owns them in his collection! He personally owns some too that he won't sell -- you know why??? Because Halper realizes long term value
