i have email him several times, he seems like a good guy,and is very friendly, has very good feedback, and has a 5 days return..........i dont think you will go wrong....ron
Yep, I purchased a toned morgan from this seller. Pics look like the coin, quick shipping, and provides positive feedback without waiting for you to give him feedback first. No problem transaction for me.
I agree with dragon in that the coin looks completely original to me. The seller is a Board member and I have dealt with him numerous times. He is a good guy and has some great coins for sale.
1. The color change as the toning progresses from the field onto the devices. Evident around the nose bridge, nostrils and lips.
2. One of the hardest colors to duplicate with AT is the turquoise/sea foam found in liberty's hair.
3. The colors in the recesses (or canyons) of the devices are different than on the peaks of the devices. Look at the crevice behind the ear and on the cap.
4. And the progession of color (from the chin to the top right) goes yellow->red->purple->blue/green. It goes through this color sequence twice.
I've dealt with Mike Billy on numerous occasions. All transactions were completed without any problems whatsoever. Only one time did I return a coin; in all other instances I not only kept the coins, but they still reside in my collection. (In contrast, of the 10 pieces I won in Bondman's early E-bay career, I retain only 2.)
Mike is easy to work with and has a wonderful eye for original, attractively toned coins of all denominations. I have seen hundreds of his coins and considered none to be AT. I think it should be clear to anyone who is even remotely familiar with toned dollars that the subject piece here is original.
Mike is a good guy, IMO, and I've sold and bought many coins with him. His pics are about as accurate as one can get with a scan and he is fair to deal with. You can buy with confidence.
The transition of the colors from the warmer reds to softer, cooler blues from left to right is both appealing and subtle. The depth of the colors combined with warmer to cooler mapping across the face is just unbelievable. I'd just love to see how different lighting affects the various hues.
This sure is a beauty. It's in a new holder, anybody think it was graded recently or just reholdered? I ask this because almost every monster toned Morgan I see whether pcgs or ngc happens to be in old holders, sometimes I wonder if there is a reason for this.

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.
No, it's not.

That sure is a very pretty coin. Aren't those colors just beautiful, and so deep and rich.
