My purchases from Baltimore Coin Show

It was just, as usual, a pleasure to meet all the board members there. It is funny how flying56eagle is teasing Merz2 all the time... I think parking prices went up since last time i was there, It's $17.00 now . I know that people were saying that Saturday is not a great day to buy but for me Baltimore is the only big show I attend so it is way sufficient for me size and choice-wise.
The coolest slab - there was actualy PCGS regency slab, and next to it way, way out of my price range 1878-S half in PCGS VF-35 holder
Fred Windberg had an empty mint bag (probably) for sale, what was cool at one point it held $5000 worth of eagles (bag had 1932 date on it). I wanted to sell him PCGS 1945-S cent 5% O/C but he did not want it and I quote "not enough off center".
Having coins for trade helps a lot esp. if someone specializes in the series and does not just look at the graysheet.
This is first coin I bought it's for my matching set of 3 cents pieces. This coin is a 1862 PCGS 64 it will match my NGC 1861 64

first buy2
This was the only coin I bought before lunch with the guys. After the lunch many of us (me) had to move quickly since as usual many dealers and PCGS started to pack after lunch (the show is open from 10AM till 7PM on Saturday)
This coin resulted in my first power trade. I traded my 1876-CC DDO Trade and cash for this beauty. It's a great buy too (late die state coin) and raw AU.
Seated half trade1_1
Seated half trade 1_2
date close-up
The next two coins came from aother power trade. I traded my proof IHC and the cent that Fred did not want plus cash for a half and a quarter
Seated half trade 2_1
Seated half trade 2_2
The quarter is ANACS62 but I think it could go for 63. it has some hairlines but the look makes up for it.
">seated quarter1
seated quarter2
Finally goose3 is EVIL. because of him I "had" to buy this PCGS AU50 half

I think that everyone could call this collecting (matching set) but I think this borders on hoarding/obsession

that coin I made you buy is really sweet in person!
I noticed more Morgans in GSA slabs and more Redfields in one place than all the coin shows I've been to in a year. It took some time but I did end up getting a decent 1892 Barber quarter for the type set and a handfull of Morgans for that set. I also picked up a good example of a 1806 draped bust half cent. One of these days, I'm going to break down and start getting some CCs.
