Millennium Sets?

Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone has sent in a Millennium set to PCGS. Questions: Have you sent the entire set in w/ the dollar bill or did you remove it first. Did you open it or keep the set sealed before sending it out.
Thanks in advance,
BobbyD

You send in the pane with the coins and keep the rest. If you send it all in you will either get the other portion back or PCGS might toss it (with someone likely pocketing the dollar).

I believe you can just cut out the Sacagawea if you want and just submit it. HOWEVER, the coin must remain sealed in the millennium set packaging.
  • Are they designating the set on the holder as a millennium set?
As I understood it they consider the SAE to be just another SAE from that year.
  • In the Q&A Forum, Rick indicated that you should send in the folder with the dollars intact. He indicated that PCGS would cut out the Sacagawea and grade it and designate it. If it is out of the set, PCGS will not designate it as Millennium. They will return the rest of the set intact to you.

If you don't want the SAE graded, you need to put a sticky note on the set to tell them not to.
  • I just dropped 4 sets off with NGC.
They will at least designate the SAE as a millennium set.
When I was there I was told that another guy had dropped off 100 sets.I guess there will be a lot of them showing up on ebay.I was also told that there were 2 70's out of the 100.
