What's the confusing story on 1964 Proof sets?

I have been picking up 1964 Proof sets lately when the right one presents itself, and have observed the following in these sets:
One Kennedy with AH, one dime with pointed nine
One Kennedy with AH, one dime with blunt nine
One Kennedy with regular hair, one dime with pointed nine
Is there nothing that can be counted on as far as what goes together in these sets?

Those are junk and nobody wants them. Out of the goodness of my heart, I will help you and take it off your hands.

Now I have to go back through all those regular-hair sets to look for pointy nines???????? Why, oh why, did I read this thread?

You should buy the next roll of dimes I list on eBay, and you could do some more searching. I don't care about the pointed nine, so they just go in the rolls right along with the rest.

I don't really care about them, either. But, if I have some I MUST KNOW!
