Who has sent a redemtion never to hear again?

Last year, I sent a Redemption card for an Auto of Travis Henry. This was about the time in the yeat some news came out about him having some bad accusations from an ex girlfriend or whatever, so I just sent it in normal mail, didnt take a photocopy, my bad.. (Topps Reseve 2001)

Well obviously Im not getting it, I never heard back... image

But the worst ever for me was back in about 1995 or whenever Kobe was a rookie, I was buying the $11 packs of scoreboard, and got a Full size Kobe basketball autographed.. About 6 months later, I got a package and it had a Antoine Walker (sp) auto'd full size ball.. They said they "Ran out " of the Kobe ball.. That one really hurts......




Am I speaking Chinese?

  • dabeef i pulled a eddy curry hoops hot prospects rc Auto ( bv $ 100 ) last year and sent it in then..i still haven't recieved it back..i sent them a couple e-mails about a month or so ago and still nothing..i guess i need to make a call to them
  • I spose I cant prove that I pulled that card, but does anyone have an address so I could contact them? It was from 2001 Topps Reserve Football....Thanks

    I have an odd redemption story from just recently.....I pulled a 2001 UD Game Gear Koren Robinson autograph redemption. So I send it to them return receipt, photocopy it.....the works. I get the return receipt card back saying that someone signed for my package. 2 weeks later I get a regular white envelope in the mail from Upper Deck with a 2000 Sp Authentic Torry Holt buyback autograph....no Koren Robinson....no note/letter.....nothing. You would think that if they were trying to substitute they would at least send a letter with the card to explain or even better ask me what I want instead.

    What do you think? Should I press it with UD? I was thinking about waiting another few weeks to see if the Koren Robinson shows up and they just sent that Holt to me because of all of the complaints I have had recently about the condition of their cards I have pulled out of packs.

  • Well I'd rather have the Holt Auto personally, I guess its just about who you would like to have in your case.. Then again, write them and tell them what happened, you might get both image

    OK Here we go with redemptions...This topic and their answers should be permantly
    at the top.

    First ALWAYS send inusred/certified. If you don't care to ever see the card again, then
    just send it regular mail and I bet you won't ever see it. If you have a scan of the
    card and a return rec. form you are set and NO company will deny you the card if
    you have that proof!

    Beef> Topps are bears to work with...you have to be tough and stick to your guns.
    Here is their consumer relations #...they are easier to work with than the other
    line. (800)489-9149....be nice and you will be rewarded!

    KLS>If UD had lost your card and then you called them you know they would
    ask for proof of sending the redemptions...so why not turn the tables on them?
    Call them up and when the tell you that they sent something out as a
    replacment, then ask them for proof and ask them why they didn't sent
    the card insured. You sent in the redemption insured right?? Believe
    me they will send you a replacment AND you bet it will come UPS and you
    will have to sign for it! Good Luck!

    KobeCollector>You HAVE to call fleer. email is easiliy ignored. Scan your proof
    and return receipt and tell them that you need something now. When you talk
    to the person on the phone, ask them for their personal email address and
    then send all proof to that address...don't get some general email addy!

    Remster> If you go over to the Sportscard and Memorbilia board and search for "redemption"
    in the title you will find a post and in that there is a guy who gives a couple of names and
    phone numbers for fleer. I have found better results when you deal with one person and get
    their contact info. LMK if you can't find it and I will try to find it.
