Ideas on displaying sets?

Hello-
After reading many posts for a few months, this is my first post to the forum.
I was wondering what people's ideas are for displaying any types of graded sets (player sets, team sets, etc)
at their home.
Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

I am thinking about the MJ Roop Archival system as well.
Sure beats the regular cardboard storage boxes.

This is a great topic. Welcome to the forum. For my cheaper sets, I built a custom wood display that hangs on my wall that holds my entire set. I have built 3 so far. I have it mounted in my house away from direct Sunlight (if you didn't figure it out by now, sunlight will fade the cards). The bad thing is, my favorite set (my 52 Bowmans) are in PSA boxes and in 4 different vaults. The problem is the expense and rarity. I would die if the set ever got stolen and if a card should ever get damaged by mistake, I have about 30 of them that could never get replaced. That's the crappy thing about it. I know Marshall has a mini shrine in his house for his collectibles. He showed me a couple of pictures (it's pretty impressive). I have to ask some of the big time collectors. Sure, they are insured, but.... There is always the but. I scanned all of them and printed out a nice sheet with 4 cards on a page and out them in a binder. If I set homesick, I look through the binder. When I upgrade, I go to the vault and hang out and look at them for real. Boy, this is really a sickness (card collecting).
Have a great night everyone,
Mike
and they cost me about 30 in materials.

CHEERS!!
That McGwire rook looks familiar.
If I'm buying it's PRICELESS. If I'm selling, it's WORTHLESS.

Thanks for all your input. I did check out MJ Roop & Pennzoni websites - Beautiful displays, but a little pricey for my blood.
If you don't mind, I may be going to the hardware store & copying Big Kid at Heart's idea and build a few viable shelves.
Again, thanks for all your help!!
That is some good stuff right nya!!!
I though PSA slabs were good against sunlight?
More reading on the subject.

They are nice, but too pricey for me. -- $7.50 for 2 Ultra Pro Pages or $64 for 20 pages.
Each page holds 4 PSA graded cards.
