Monster Jefferson. Excellent bargain on Ebay.

I fell in love with this Jefferson and was very happy to win it.
I love the toning, and this date is tough in cameo 69. I also fell in love with the price.

    hello brian

have you already received the coin or is your assessment from the scan?

from my experience NGC is notoriously loose with the CAM and DCAM designations and as a result there submissions for some of the years are way up. 1968 is a tough year for jefferson's. i always try to avoid cameo coin auctions unless both sides are shown. the years from 1968-1975 are common with one-sided cam's. coupled with the fact that the seller seems to have tilted the coin to present it as appealingly as possible tells me that it will probably be a so-so cameo.

i could be wrong of course, and the coin could be a knockout. but my experience with pre-1976 NGC jefferson's says don't get too excited just yet. i expect that you got pretty much what you paid for.

    Keets:
I have not received the coin yet. I have found NGC to be accurate on CAMS and DCAMS, but must
admit to having more experience with them on proof Lincs,Franklins, and Kennedies, but as you said,
the price makes it more than worthwhile either way. Thanks for your input.
