Ebay Seller Aaron 113076*

Was wondering if anyone knew Ebay seller Aaron113076*. I just noticed that he has been NARU'd for the second time in about 6 weeks. I've had nothing but smooth transactions with him and alway have been happy with his stuff and service. I think he may have been a member here, but don't remember seeing him around for quite awhile.

I was just curious what gets a good seller(IMO) NARU'd. Or, maybe it's none of my business...image

I just hate to loose one of my favorite sellers.

  • Not paying his eBay fees.
  • Not really up on all fee paying stuff but when I sold a couple things on Ebay I had to register a credit card and Ebay just helped themselves..image

    Weird....

I've purchased from his several times over the last two yrs. Nice stuff, prompt service. Looks like he has set up a new eBay ID, as his account has only been around since Sept (perfect record too). He must be stiffing eBay or something.

Good guy as far as I'm concerned, and nice material.

Always looking for original, better date VF20-VF35 Barber quarters and halves, and a quality beer.
  • Dave...The account he set up in Sept. is now NARU'd. Just tried to leave him feedback and found out.

Ya, I see that. Very strange. I know it's the same guy I dealt with, because of his auction format. I haven't seen his listings for a couple months, and wondered what was up. I really liked his material. I think he used no reserve auctions too - a rarity these days!

Looks like something is out of whack.....too bad.

  • He is one of my favorite sellers. I have no idea why he was NARU'd but I do know that I liked every coin that he sold me and that I look for his auctions.

i contacted aaron after he was NARU'd the first time and he responded. evidently he contacted an underbidder on one of his auctions and offered to sell a similar coin. eBay was notified and he was suspended. as is the usual case with safe harbor, he was unaware if it was permanent or just for 30 days and instead of waiting he told me he re-registered with the addition of the asterisk to his old I.D. which is in clear violation of what eBay notices say at the time of a suspension. he told me that he used the same I.D. plus the asterisk so everyone would be able to recognize his auctions.

i had him bookmarked and just saw yesterday that he had been NARU'd again. this time will probably be permanent and if he comes back it will be with his wife's name or someone else's. too bad because he was a top flight seller----good scans, accurate descriptions and courteous service.

  • Last time he was NARU'd, he was back in a couple weeks I beleive. Same Ebay id with a "*" added.

He did always have some good stuff and great pics.

Hope he makes it back again.

  • eBay is so inconsistent. I get contacted on about 9 of 10 mid to high level auctions when the reserve is not met. And the sellers are "powersellers". I am sure i am not the only one they contact!!
  • Aaron is one of the best sellers goin'!!!
I have delt with Aaron for many of the coins in my sets. Nothing but a class act guy. It's like goin' through withdrawl, not having his listings to bid on! image
Ebay should be a little quicker in straightening out problems! :[

    guys

not to defend eBay and not to defend the inept safe harbor, especially, but they are very clear when you are under suspension. no ifs, ands or buts, you can't use the system. if this seller did that, there is no defense for him------and keep in mind i'm in agreement that he was first class. as to his first suspension, i suspect he got caught because he made his contact using the eBay system for e-mail. i try to get off that system as quickly as possible, only using it for the initial contact after an auction ends unless i know the buyer/seller e-mail address already. either way, if you don't play by their rules it's their ball and they can go home whenever they want to. i've already served my 30 days in the hole.

I asked him why he changed his seller ID. He said he made a mistake with his address as I recall, that he left something out. He didn't say anything about contacting bidders who hadn't won. Even if that's why he got booted what's the big deal? Is ebay afraid their profits aren't going to be high enough? they already make a killing on the final value fees, not to mention all the other fees. I bought two Washingtons from him with no problems. I was disappointed to see that he got booted the second time.

From my dealings with Aaron, he's a good guy. If I contact a buyer after one of my auctions ends, to see if they are interested in negotiating a price on a coin, I always suggest that I will relist the coin with our "negotiated" price as the new BIN. Seems to work like a charm. I know I'm giving up fees to Ebay, but better to be on the safe side I guess.
It doesn't always work like that, but that's the way I suggest we do the deal.

told to you-He said he made a mistake with his address as I recall
told to me-evidently he contacted an underbidder

here's two different explanations that were given from the same seller about the same incident. i'll assume that there is more to the story than we're being told.

Sure looks like Aaron. Glad he got back on there, a Great Seller.

Right, and so you post him publicly so some eBay fart can investigate and nail him again. Brilliant. If he is a good as you all say, are you really doing him a favor by pointing "anyone" right at him? Everybody else reads the forum; don't know why some eBay admin puke wouldn't check us out too.

...........and while everyone is all ready to pounce on someone because they steal a picture or misrepresent an auction item, when a seller is in obvious violation of eBay rules we welcome him back because we like his items. that's really amazing and reeks of hypocricy.

  • He's back, and w/out the "*"!

Couldn't be a more honest seller!

i really doubt ebay pays any attention to this forum. If they did they would pull scam auctions as soon as they are identified here.

  • I have saw and thought about bidding on a few of Aaron's ebay auctions, but I could never make the final decision from the picture. All of his coins look the exact same to me, am I the only one who thinks so?

Aaron is a great seller, and having won several of his auctions in the past, I've been completely satisfied with his coins. Andy007, all I can tell you is that Aaron has a tendency to sell brilliant white coins, so that may be one reason why they look similar. Check the cert numbers on his slabs, as he scans the entire slab, not just a closeup of the coin. I did buy a toned 64D quarter from him awhile back, and that one looked much different!

I have bought hundreds of $ from him and still will>super seller and honest.Al
  • I have spent thousands with Aaron, and I hope to spend that much and more in the future(he's startin' to list Standin' Libs image )

As for his pictures, I don't know of one of his auctions where the picture was not of the coin for sale. Aaron is as honest as they come, and would not try to fool someone with bogus pictures.

    Thank Goodness, He's back!
