Russ, I seen that one a few day's ago,I did bid on the 37 in (7) but didn't like the dark toning on the 26.Teletrade has a 16-D coming up in Nov,17th it's a 64 FB but no scan yet,if it's half way decent I may put a serious bid in.That day is my BD and I hope it will be my present.Al
Ok you "White Coin Guys" just Back Off from the "Colored Coins". And ASAP !!!
First Al picks up a Toned 24S and now Tim, even though he has some Toned coins, is going after this maybe. Heck next thing that will happen is Dennis going after Toned Coins and Rick starting after Full Band Coins. That will leave only Pat not complaining about being passed by newer Registry members.
Don, Tony, Walt, Jim, and Wayne have been Quite for awhile so who knows what they are planning.
I'm confused Now. Think I'll start collecting Moderns where there is No Confusion.
Your gett'n real close to a verbal repremand(sp) talking about collecting the "M" word. Any more talk like that and a letter goes in your file.
To all, the 26 is a pretty coin in my opinoin.
I got outsniped in a teletrade auction the other nite on a seated dime I wanted. Sometimes your Marshall Dillon and sometimes your the guy laying in the street when it's over!
The '26-P in Sunday's auction has nice color, but I also like the MS65FB on Wednesday. It's not blast white, but looks totally original.

I'm just waiting for the right coins to come along. Also waiting to find out if a project at work will keep me from going to the FUN show in January (hope to find out next week). If it turns out I can't go, I might pay the retail prices some dealers ask for a few Mercs. The early mintmarked dates don't appear on eBay very often.
I've gotta do something. I'm now staring at Al's taillights after he passed me. No signal was given, but then, I usually don't use them either. That 16-D would make a heckuva BD present to himself. If that's a nice coin, I hope a board member gets it, but it's out of my reach at the moment.
Im still here and those toned mercs are sure tempting me. I think I'll wait for the Fun Show, but If a nice one comes along before then...well who knows ?
The 26 is a nice struck coin, but tooo dark for me... see Ken, I do have limits..(lucky for you)..lol I am still very much a white guy, not toned if at all possible....and for the ones that I do have toned..well, I may send them to NCS, to have all that algea taken off one day.... fishing lures, dont have the same effect, unless they are real shiney.....
I still here lurking. I just bought a 34-P in 66FB and a 41-S in 66FB. I also have a 31-D in 65FB on the way. I have another biggg deal pending that if I can get the bucks together, should get me on the first page!
I'm kinda depressed right now though, first time in several weeks I haven't had a red banner by my set. Hope to fix that problem next week.
I'm also involved in a little legal tangle with a dealer over a bad coin. Dennis and Ken, you know about this. I've started proceedings to dispute the credit card charges, if this does not work, I am thinking of going to the U.S. postal service and filing mail fraud charges on them. Last ditch will be an attorney. Now repeat after me: "I promise, I will never again buy an ACG slabbed coin".
Ken, those big shiney things are great for target practice, I get someone to throw them up in the air, and then I shoot them with a 22. It is best to use at least a 68DCAM as they are easier to see in the air. I then take an engraving pencil and engrave in those big shiney fields "Shot with a Remington rifle, date, and my name." You think I'm kidding, send me one and then you can send it to Braddick for his vest!

Is it getting warm in here, or is it just me?
